Hello, I'm Mel, your new designer friend.

I'm an art director and designer based in Carlsbad, California. In my 20+ years of experience, I like to employ a multidisciplinary approach to design, working in both digital and print design, concepting, environmental graphics and art direction. I'm a versatile creative with an ever-curious approach to strategic thinking and creativity. My design approach is rooted in my love for art, color and technology and am committed to creating engaging experiences that bring consistency and clarity.

I have a wide range of experience in various industries working for companies such as Okta, Chopra Global, Beautiful.ai, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Henkle, Axon, Arizona Office of Tourism, and more.

During my off hours, I'm teaching small group pottery workshops and making lots of semi-professional level bowls. I can also be found rummaging through vintage and thrift stores, picking weeds in my garden and helping raise our 2 teenagers with my husband, 2 dogs and 1 slightly feral cat. I go by the pronouns she/her.
